Life Story

Edward McMahon Jr. was a kind, funny and very talented man. Though famously known for being Johnny Carson's sidekick from 1962 to 1992, he was also the host of the popular talent show Star Search. He helped host the Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade for years as well as cohost the Jerry Lewis Telethon. Outside of the television, Ed McMahon also had roles in feature films and was the host of a popular wekeend radio show. He was also author of two memoirs.
When Ed wasn't entertaining America, he was a proud father to six children. He leaves behind three daughters and three sons who will surely miss him greatly.
We will all truly miss such a wonderful and memorable American Icon.
