Emma Leigh was born to Stephanie Cox & Zachary Childs on Monday October, 10th 2011 at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. She was born with heart defects, what they called an AV Canal defect or Septal defect. She spent the first month of her life in the Neonatal intensive care unit then was discharged home on November 9th 2011. Emma had a few brief stays in the hospital over the next few months. Most of her time was spent at home with her mother and father. Emma was a very happy little girl despite everything. She was our little princess and a total daddy's girl. Her smile would brighten up even the most darkest of days. She was a special little girl. As soon as she met someone they would instantly fall in love with her. Her family cherished every precious moment they had with her. Sadly after open heart surgery she passed away on Wednesday May 23rd, 2012 at Albany Medical Center. Also surviving are her maternal grandparents, John and Sarah Cox, paternal...
