A Poem for Mourning a Lost Family Member | The Broken Chain

I think this poem has a nice message about family unity and how it transcends even death.

We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

After the passing of our beloved father, we have ready numerous spiritual books and poems that help comfort our pain. As we got ready to print our memorial shirts for our father, we “The Resendez Family” have found comfort on the poem written by Mr. Ron Tranmer. It seems as if every word and feeling was taken directly from our hearts. Thank you for written this master piece that has given us hope and comfort that we will someday be reunited with our loved ones. Many blessings from our family to yours.
