Bridges’ Mother Passes On
Dorothy Bridges, the mother of Jeff and Beau Bridges and wife to the late Lloyd Bridges, passed away on February 16, 2009 at her home in Los Angeles. Dorothy was an actress and poet who worked with Bob Hope and wrote a biography “You Caught Me Kissing.”
Dorthy met Lloyd while in college. They married in 1938 and had two sons and a daughter Lucinda. They were married for 60 years until Lloyd died in 1998.
Losing a mother is difficult at any age. I am sure we all send the Bridges our condolences.
