Cartoon Network Senior Executive, Jennifer Davidson, Passes Away at 38


Cartoon Network senior executive Jennifer Davidson, died this month of a sudden illness at the age of 38. The young Davidson was one of the first employees to be hired by the channel. She was the senior VP of Programming and Scheduling at the Network, having worked her way up the ranks, starting as a production/operations assistant in 1992. She was executive produced the classic cartoon channel Boomerang and was on the team that launched Adult Swim in 2001. She was a leader in her industry – just this year she was named a 2007-08 Betsy Magness Leadership Fellow.

“We have lost a shining star, not only at Cartoon Network but within our industry,” said executive VP and COO at Turner Broadcasting System Inc.’s Animation, Young Adults and Kids Media group, Stuart Snyder.

Jennifer’s husband and three young children asked that in lieu of memorial flowers, donations be made in her name to one of several organizations she supported including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
