George Carlin, Comedian
Beloved comedian who made sure we would never forget those “Seven Words You Can Never Say On TV,” George Carlin passed away this weekend at the age of 71 due to heart failure. Carlin’s counterculture comedy caused multiple generations to stop and think about many of their opinions and convictions they held so dear.
Carlin loved language and word play and used it to create some of his best loved routines, including his “Seven Words.” His comedy was construed as crude by some, clever by others, but unique and inventive by just about all.
I won’t try to expound on his already well-written career but will point you to some of the best sites to find more on Carlin’s life and legacy.
