Give Something A Little Different This Year

Many are spending the holidays in hospitals or under a nurse’s care waiting for a miracle to happen. You see, there are currently over 97 thousand individuals waiting for an organ or tissue donor to save their life. Each organ donor has the potential to improve the lives of as many as 50 people. By registering to be an organ donor in your state, you increase the chances that someone can be saved through your sacrifice.

Those ages 35 – 64 dominate the list of individuals on the waiting list for a compatible donor. You can help sustain a life through your own. Though it may be a hard decision to make, giving the gift of life may in fact help your own family as they grieve – many say that knowing their loved one’s life helped save another has helped them cope with their loss.

To register to be a donor in your state, visit the organdonor.gov. Feel good about giving a second chance to another human being.
