Share Stories, Gain Camaraderie in Grief Counseling
The Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service in Ohio is offering a free 6 week series of classes in 2008 that will focus on rebuilding life after the death of a loved one and teaches the incorporation of hope. In this group setting, participants will help normalize the grief experience through camaraderie with each other. Group members will also share their feelings and stories and be able to ask questions of each other and a staff professional to help get their questions about grief and death heard and worked through.
Hospice of VNS will have two 6 week groups in 2008, the first beginning Tuesday, March 18 and the second starting Tuesday, July 8. For both series, participants can choose either the 2:00pm – 4:00pm sessions or 6:30pm – 8:30pm. The meetings will take place at the Hospice of VNS Justin T. Rogers Care Center located at 3358 Ridgewood Road in Akron. For more information on this and other sessions, call the Bereavement Coordinator’s office at (330)668-4662.
