Maria Chapman, Daughter of Steven Curtis Chapman
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Chapman family this week as they mourn the tragic lost of their youngest daughter Maria. Maria was just 5 years old when she was accidentally hit by her brother as he was backing out of the driveway in the family SUV.
The tragedy of losing a child so young is understood by many of our Valley of Life readers and life story writers. I am sure they too feel for the Chapman family.
Little Maria died at the Vanderbilt Medical Center from the injuries she received. She was one of three daughters Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife Mary Beth adopted from China. The family were great advocaters for adoption, and created the foundation Shaohannah’s Hope to assist couples with adoption.
