Memorial Day Observances – Military Burials Remembered
Monday is our Nation’s Memorial Day – a time for all of America to reflect on the sacrifices made by men and women through numerous generations to make our country safe and strong. Countless soldiers have been honored with military burials in their home towns or at a national cemetery. On Memorial Day, these families again have the opportunity to reflect on the life they lost and the honor that individual received by the nation.
There are countless activities taking place on Monday in every town in the country – flag placement services, memorial ceremonies and remembrance services. Take time to go to one, even if you do not know someone first hand that served our country. The experience is amazing. The pride that families and towns feel for their military men is incredibly powerful. It’s a great reminder of the sacrifice and passion that has created our country.
