Film producer Robert Haggiag passed away in Rome on March 1, 2009 at the age of 95. Haggiag produced 1954s Beat the Devil and the Barefoot Contessa and 1957′s Legend of the Lost. He worked with the stars of that era – Humphrey Bogart, John Wayne, Ava Gardner, and Sophia Loren.

Haggiag co-founded Dear Films which later became an Italian film distributor for 20th Century Fox and United Artists.
