New Studies in Ovarian Cancer by Rutgers University

I know I have been writing a lot about the ovarian cancer the past couple of months. I guess it is something I am feeling passionate about right now because it seems to have gotten so little attention over the past few years, while breast cancer awareness has seemed to thrive. Both are incredibly personal, life threatening diseases that thousands of women must confront each and every year. If I can help raise awareness enough for one or two of you to do what it takes to save your life, I’ll feel better. Heck – it has surely made me more conscious of my body and how to look for signs of ovarian cancer.

So with that in mind, here is a new research finding from Rutgers University. A study by the university shows that cranberries may significantly boost the effectiveness of cancer drugs used to fight ovarian cancer. The berries may also stop the growth and spread of some cancer cells. If you or a loved one are battling ovarian cancer, the researchers believe that drinking a few classes of cranberry juice (27% juice or greater variety) may significantly help your treatment.
