NY Support Group for Young Widows Available


The Life Transition Center Support is hosting a support group and seminar for those in the NY area who have experienced the death of a spouse within the past 18 months and are 50 years of age or younger, or have children under the age of 18. The group will meet every Tuesday from October 2 – November 20, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There is no cost to participate and you can join the group at any time.

The Life Transitions Center was founded in 1977 by University of Buffalo faculty Dr. Marceline Jaques and Dr. Thomas Frantz and five of their students. The Center has become one of the premier grief counseling agencies in Western New York, serving more than 12,000 adults and children each year. The Life Transitions Center’s work has focused on providing education, counseling, information, support, and resources to anyone concerned about issues related to loss, grief, death, and living with a life-threatening illness.
