Olympian Glenn Davis dies


glenndavisAmerican hurdler and sprinter, Glenn Davis, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at the age of 74. Davis won three Olympic gold medals when he participated in the 1956 and 1960 games in the 400-meter hurdles.  Davis received the Sullivan Award as the leading amateur athlete in 1958 for breaking records in the 200 and 400 meter hurdles.  After his Olympic career, he went on to become a wide receiver for the Detroit Lions.  In his later years he became a track coach.
