Patriarch George Osmond Passes Away
The father of the famous singing family The Osmond brothers and parent to the famed Donny and Marie Osmond has died today at the age of 90. George Osmond was the proud father of nine children, many of whose talents were shared with the world in various singing groups. The older Osmonds first sang as a quartet at Disneyland and on “The Andy Williams Show.†Later, Younger siblings Donny and Marie began singing with their famous brothers and then started their own “The Donny and Marie Show.†George was married to his wife, Olive, 63 years ago. She passed away in 2004. Details on his death are not yet available but it is believed that he died of natural causes due to his age. His family and his church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, are now mourning the loss of this great man.
