Porn icon Marilyn Chambers Has Died
1970s adult film actress Marilyn Chambers was found dead in her home Sunday, April 12, 2009. She was 56 years old. The actress made a name for herself in the 1970s as a porn star, appearing “Behind the Green Door,” considered a 70s x-rated classic. Chambers also appeared on the Ivory Snow Soap boxes as a model in her early career.
No cause of death has been given though it is expected she died of natural causes.

I was a friend of Marilyns. She was a very giving person. That smile you see in her pictures is genuine. I can’t believe that I cannot just look her up and let her know how much she helped me. She always had a quick smile and told me to remember those things in life that are important. It was not about “stuff and things”. I am left with a little peace in my heart seeing her roses in her garden. We all make choices in life that may not always reflect who we are but…she helped many people like me thru some tough times and for that I am so grateful to have known her. God Bless McKenna, Bill and Jann. I have tried to find out when and where her memorial will be held. Will there be one in the Los Angeles area?

IMDB is reporting that Marilyn died from complications related to heart disease.
