Selecting A Headstone: Follow Lady Bird Johnson’s Lead


lady-bird-johnsonFinding the right headstone isn’t easy.  Families often struggle to find just the right gravesite marker, memorial or other headstone to lay at the resting place of a beloved family member.  When you are stressed out or grieving, making this kind of decision may seem incredible daunting. Rather than worry about the marker or make a bad decision, wait.  That’s what the children of Lady Bird Johnson decided to do.  Luci Baines Johnson told Parade magazine, “Because this is a permanent remembrance, my sister Lynda Bird and I want to make sure we take the appropriate time regarding this important decision.”  Lady Bird passed away last year.  She did assure everyone that there “definitely will be a headstone at my mother’s grave.”
