Support Group for Those that Have Lost A Parent
The Life Transitions Center is hosting “After a Parent Dies,†a support group and seminar for those in the New York area who have experienced the death of a parent. The group will meet every Wednesday from October 3 – November 21 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There is no cost to attend but a $5 donation per week is encouraged.

The Life Transitions Center was founded in 1977 by University of Buffalo faculty Dr. Marceline Jaques and Dr. Thomas Frantz and five of their students. The Center has become one of the premier grief counseling agencies in Western New York, serving more than 12,000 adults and children each year. The Life Transitions Center’s work has focused on providing education, counseling, information, support, and resources to anyone concerned about issues related to loss, grief, death, and living with a life-threatening illness.
