As a young adult in your 20s or 30s, sometimes the last thing you want to think about is death or planning a funeral for yourself. However, being young doesn’t mean you should wait to write a will, even if you only have a few assets. As an adult, you know what you do and do not like, but your family may not know how you feel about funeral arrangements or distributing your assets. Simply put, without a will, you have no say over what happens to your belongings and your body after you are gone.

In times of bereavement, funeral arrangements not only honor the deceased but remind the grieving to celebrate life. They are also symbolic: The color, shape and types of flowers used can all convey a personal and meaningful message about the deceased.

Many wonder if there is a wrong type of floral arrangement to send to a family or friend who is grieving over the death of someone they loved. The answer is not really, so long as the arrangement is thoughtful. There are a variety of traditional, generally considered appropriate arrangements you can send as sympathy flowers. Many times fan-shaped designs, baskets or easel spray designs are sent during these times.
