Selecting A Headstone: Follow Lady Bird Johnson’s Lead

Finding the right headstone isn’t easy. Families often struggle to find just the right gravesite marker, memorial or other headstone to lay at the resting place of a beloved family member. When you are stressed out or grieving, making this kind of decision may seem incredible daunting. Rather than worry about the marker or make a bad decision, wait. That’s what the children of Lady Bird Johnson decided to do. Luci Baines Johnson told Parade magazine, “Because this is a permanent remembrance, my sister Lynda Bird and I want to make sure we take the appropriate time regarding this important decision.” Lady Bird passed away last year. She did assure everyone that there “definitely will be a headstone at my mother’s grave.”
