The United States Armed Forces has trained canines to serve as working dogs since World War I to assist those fighting in the most dangerous situations. Honoring Our Freedom-Fighters

Independence DayFor many Americans, July 4th is a day of celebration. Yet, for others, it is another reminder of loved ones lost in service to our country. Like Memorial Day or Veterans Day, our Independence Day not only celebrates the freedoms we have here in the United States of America, but it also honors those who founded and fought for those freedoms.

Independence Day | A Reflection On Those That Paved The Way

As Americans, we are blessed to have so many freedoms denied other cultures.  Women have a voice. Races are equal in the site of the law.  These are things we may take for granted. Though perfection doesn’t exist in America, the power to make a difference and to live a life of our choosing is a luxury provided to us.  This freedom was not inherent in our country, however.  Men and women fought and died in the hopes that generations to come would have opportunities they didn’t.
