Coroner Updates Casey Johnson’s Cause of Death

The Los Angeles county coroner released a brief statement yesterday concerning the January death of heiress Casey Johnson. When Johnson, the daughter of New York Jets’ owner Woody Johnson, died on January 4, her passing was cited as a “natural death.” According to the coroner’s statement, the cause of death was diabetic ketoacidosis, a condition caused by a lack of insulin and very high blood sugar.
