Remember a Loved One: Write an Honest Obituary
Sunday, November 29th, 2009
One of the greatest ways to preserve the memory of someone you’ve lost is to do so with honesty — painting an accurate picture, portraying a clear image, telling a true story. Often, the first medium through which friends and family can do this is an obituary. As such, don’t copy what others have written in the past, but write something completely unique to the person you’re wishing to memorialize.

Bea Arthur, the extraordinary actress that brought us so many beloved TV and Broadway characters, died on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the age of 86. She had been battling an undisclosed cancer for quite some time. Arthur was best known for playing dry-witted Italian Dorothy Zbornak in the 1980s TV sitcom, The Golden Girls and Maude Findlay in the 1970s sitcom Maude.
