Loving mom and wife, Joyce Brawls lived a life full of love. When a terrible illness threatened to take away her quality of life, Joyce decided to end her treatment and spend her last remaining months in the presence of her family at home.  This, her family says, was her greatest gift to them and the best decision for Joyce.  They got to share Christmas, they got to remember each other without the buzz and hum of a hospital.  They got to say goodbye in their own way.

Grammy winning singer and song arranger Isaac Hayes has died today, August 10 in his home.  Relatives say they found the 65 year-old Hayes unconscious next to a still running treadmill in his home. Paramedics tried to revive him as he was taken to a hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He was pronounced dead just after 2:0pm.
