Frank SchottFrank G. Schott, Jr. of Massapequa Park in Long Island was a loving husband and father who fell victim to the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York, September 11, 2001. He was 39, and he was working as an assistant vice president of technology for Marsh & McLennan on the 96th floor of Tower One.

Thomas Moore | The harp that once through Tara’s halls

In light of the upcoming day of remembrance, I thought I’d share a poem pertaining to the events of September 11, 2001. I found this particular poem amidst a list of poems written specifically in response to 9/11. This particular poem, however, was written by Thomas Moore, an Irish lyricist who lived over 200 year ago. Even though this poem was composed long before 9.11.01, it still speaks to the nature of loss we all felt that day as well as the hope we still hold dearly in our hearts — which is why I think it bears repeating today. How You Can Honor the Victims of 9/11

With September 11 drawing closer, I was wondering how best to honorably commemorate the day when the twin towers of the World Trade Center were attacked. Last week, someone pointed me to Project 2,996. The project is a tribute to the 2,996 victims of 9/11 through the medium of blogging.
