Roh Moo-Hyun, former South Korean President, committed suicide Saturday. Roh jumped to his death from a 100-foot hillside behind his house, according to a Korean news agency. He was 62.
Infinite Jest author David Foster Wallace died on Friday, September 12, 2008 at his California home – an apparent suicide. He was 46 years old. I won’t pretend to know Wallace or his critically acclaimed and much talked about works which included not only the best seller Infinite Jest but also The Broom of the System” and Girl with Curious Hair. I will let those that knew him, respected him and were inspired by him speak about the tragic loss of this man.
