So much has been articulated about the tragic loss of Tim Russert over the past week. His character, his professionalism, his family life have been applauded by those that truly knew him best. From fellow journalists like Tom Brokaw, Brian Williams, Bob Schieffer, and even John Stewart and Stephen Colbert to politicians like Barack Obama and John McCain, Russert’s life has been applauded and his death grieved by hundreds. Even those like me, who didn’t know the man personally, respected him as one of a handful of upstanding, professional journalists who seemed to truly care about getting answers rather than bickering.
Tim Russert died of a heart attack while at his Washington office at the age of 58.
