Valley of Life: A Month-in-Review
Many exciting things have been happening at Valley of Life! Below, we’ve tried to give you a quick snapshot of everything that’s taken place in recent months. We are excited about our growth and, more so, our increased ability to help people who are grieving.
Miri Rossitto, Valley of Life founder, publishes new ebook
Released in September, A Guide to Children and Grief is intended to stand in the gap between a child’s grief and an adult’s ability to effectively help. Not only does Rossitto’s ebook tell you what you need to know (such as the different ways in which a child grieves), it also details what things you can do to help.
Valley of Life partners with BroadcastBio
BroadcastBio is a team of media professionals specializing in copy writing, research, and voice-over services whose mission is to build a bridge between generations. Their organization is currently realizing this mission by offering audio and visual commemorative services for birthdays, biographies, and memorials.
Valley of Life works with Judi’s House
Valley of Life has offered its new resource to Judi’s House for use in their support groups. Judi’s House was founded by former NFL quarterback Brian Griese in honor and in memory of his mother who died when he was 12 years-old, and the organization offers a number of different peer-based support groups for grieving children, including individual and family counseling.
Valley of Life works with Camp Erin
Valley of Life is now working with Camp Erin, a network of bereavement camps founded by The Moyer Foundation, to facilitate its kids camps with A Guide to Children and Grief. Currently, Camp Erin is the largest network of bereavement camps in the country with 28 camps in 18 states.
