Volunteers Needed For Children’s Grief Support, Bereavement

Providence hospice is looking for interested volunteers to work with respite care, provide children’s grief support, and bereavement support in the Portland metro area in Oregon.  There is no experience needed - experts will provide training to interested volunteers with the heart and desire to help others during difficult times in their lives.  Bereavement can be a debilitating condition - having someone to talk to and help work through the grief is an invaluable part of the grieving process. Children are especially susceptible to long-term affects of grief.

To learn how you can help, contact Providence at (503) 215-5774.  You must be 18 years or older to volunteer. Training will take place 9:00am - 4:30pm Mondays and Wednesdays, June 16-25, 2008. You can find more at the Providence Health & Services site.
