Winter Komen Race for the Cure Schedule
If you know someone who has died from breast cancer, if you know someone fighting breast cancer or if you yourself have been diagnosed with breast cancer, take courage in knowing that there are people and organizations out there fighting for a cure to this disease. And that’s not all. You can be one of those people that help find that cure.
The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is marking its 25th anniversary year with 5k fundraiser runs all over the world. A minimum of 25% of the dollars raised from each domestic race supports the Komen for the Cure Award and Research Grant Programs. This grant funds groundbreaking breast cancer research, meritorious awards and educational and scientific conferences around the world. The other 75% raised by each race stays in the local community to fund breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment projects.
