Clifford Alan Nielson, 73, passed away peacefully of natural causes on October 11, 2009, in Escondido, California.Alan was born January 10, 1936 in Norton, KS. He was a retired C.P.A and small business owner. Alan graduated from East High School in Wichita, KS in 1954. He attended Kansas State University, where he received a Bachelors degree in Accounting in 1959, and was President and Treasurer of his fraternity, Phi Delta Theta. Alan was a former 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and served active duty at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Mr. Nielson was an active member of his community, he belonged to the Methodist Church, and he was a former President and member of his local Kiwanis Club. Alan also owned and ran several businesses, including a C.P.A. firm, family style restaurant franchises, a feed store, and an alpaca ranch. Alan was known for his love of animals.
