There is a Ferris Wheel somewhere
Jump on now. It's your turn
You'll go full circle maybe once. and on your journey you will learn
Of what's behind, But not to come
For those you love are immortal ones
For this is life In which we know
Why we die and where we go
Mortals know why the Ferris Wheel slows
When there illness, or death is owed
But no one knows why the carriages on the wheel
Hold only one person, and so they feel
When the carriage below empties
A terrible fear and a doubt of the fate of the one they hold dear
The wheel restrains them
They cannot alight
So they sit on the wheel, unable to fight
Memories are left of the loved one's face
While someone boards
To take their place
I looked down at Joanna In the carriage below
Laughing and hurting and having fun
From a slow wheel, she got off
Her face was smiling in the sun

Then she turned and said goodbye'I must go now
I have to die'

Straight and proud
She walked away
I looked for hurts
I could not find
Again she turned
Again she smiled
And I could see she was not blind

Then the wheel began to move
I could no longer see her there
The sun went in; the clouds returned
Joanna called me from the air

'One day the wheel will slow for you
'When you get off, I will be here
My friend you lovved me on the wheel
