Deathis a sad thing no matter how much we say that we shoudl rejoice, It's hard and I don't think no one can truely say that they don't experience that.

I don't do death well. I don't cry for some reason or another. I fell hurt but I just can't seem to cry unless I force it. I don't think that too many people have made a way to my heart enough for me to shed tears.

I know I find myself shutting down. I do realize it and tend to talk to a friend or put it in writing. I know I need to pull myself out of shutting down . So I try and do something other. When I shut down. I tend to shut everyone out and mostly stay in my room and don't want to talk to anyone really. I push myself to talk to others and also go out and do something that I enjoy.

Pushing your self is good. I tend to not talk to anyone but thats my way of coping with problems. I go for long walks and or read . I find that helps me.

Reading is good. What types of books help you? I also agree pushing yourself to do things are good . As long as you dont over do it. Sometimes you need to deal with things and sometimes get close to friends to avoid dealing with whats bothering you.

I think if you ask a friend to talk things over and then let them know how things are going for you. Talk it over and say I need help because i'm at a phase in life of depression or am feeling down. I think that wil lhelp give a boost.

Thanks for your advice. I do talk to a few friends. ones I can not talk to in person. I contact other friends by phone. So either way I talk to someone. I try to avoid shutting down now, but its very hard at times.
