Army Sgt. 1st Class Raymond J. Munden, 35, of Mesquite, Texas died on Monday, February 16, 2009 at Forward Operating Base Tillman in Paktika province in Afghanistan. Insurgents attacked his unit with indirect fire. Munden was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) in Fort Campbell, KY.
My thoughts and prayers go with Raymond today and to his family who is sure to be missing him right now.

Marine Staff Sgt. Daniel L. Hansen, 24, of Tracy, California died on Saturday, February 14, 2009 while supporting combat in Farah Province in Afghanistan. Hansen was assigned to the Marine Wing Support Squadron171, Marine Wing Support Group 17, 1st Marine Air Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force in Iwakuni, Japan.
Please remember Daniel Hansen today. Remember his sacrifice and remember his family as they grieve and mourn.

Army Pfc. Cwislyn K. Walter, 19 of Honolulu, HI died on Thursday, February 19, 2009 in Kuwait City, Kuwait from a noncombat-related incident. Walter was assigned to the 29th Special Troops Battalion, 29th Infantry Brigade Combat Team of the Hawaii National Guard.
Thank you Cwislyn for your service. We are forever indebted.

Air Force Staff Sgt. Timothy P. Davis, 28, of Aberdeen, Washington died on Friday, February 20, 2009 near Bagram, Afghanistan. His vehicle hit an improvised explosive device (IED). Davis was assigned to the 23rd Special Tactics Squadrom in Hurlburt Field, Florida.
My prayers are with the Davis family as they mourn this tragic loss.

Army Staff Sgt. Mark C. Baum, 32 of Telford, PA died on Saturday, February 21, 2009 in Baghdad, Iraq from wounds he received from small-arms fire in Mushada. Baum was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 111th Infantry Regiment, 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
Remember Mark Baum today and his family as they mourn this terrible loss.

Army Staff Sgt. Jeremy E. Bessa, 26 of Woodridge, Illinois died on Friday, February 20, 2009 in Khordi when his vehicle was struck by an explosive. Also killed was Army Master Sgt. David L. Hurt. Both were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) in Fort Bragg, N.C.
Remember the families of Jeremy Bessa and David Hurt this week. They can use your prayers.

Marine Cpl. Donte J. Whitworth, 21 of Noblesville, Indiana died on Saturday, February 28, 2009 after a vehicle accident in Anbar province in Iraq. Whitworth was assigned to Combat Logistics Regiment 15, 1st Marine Logistics Group, Marine Corpos Air Station, in Yuma, Arizona.
Thank you Donte Whitworth for your service. My prayers are with the Whitworth family.

Army Sgt. Simone A. Robinson, 21, of Dixmoor, Illinois died on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. Robinson sustained wounds from an improvised explosive device that detonated near her security post on January 17 in Kabul. Robinson was assigned to the 634th Brigade Support Battalion of the Illinois Army National Guard in Crestwood, Illinois.
It is so sad to see so many young lives pass away this week. My prayers are with the Robinson family.
