I saw someone I usually have great respect for today. "You've been crying" they said. I answered "Yes. Joanna died" "But that was a long time ago." "I was with her on a daily basis for 16 years. Do you know how long bereavement takes?" I asked. He said nothing, and neither did I. They all think the same way. That sort of attitude is why I stayed home most of the day. When the funeral is over, the death is over for them. They pay their respects to the person who's passed on; buy their flowers etc., and it's done for them. I'll forgive that comment. Bereaved people are forgiving. All of you who've lost someone, forgive those who don't remember how it feels to lose to death. I'm tired of pretending to be alright though, and tired of listening to conversations that include the worries of people who mean nothing to me. What do I do, but stay indoors and ignore the world That's a rhetorical question because I won't do that and I'll feel differently tomorrow maybe.
