Dr. J. Kirk Dickens, age 81, formerly of Oak Ridge, TN, passed away peacefully Monday, April 29, surrounded by loving family.
Dr. J. Kirk Dickens, a long time resident of Oak Ridge, died Monday evening, April 29, 2013, at Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen, Indiana. He was 81, and passed peacefully in the company of his wife Marcay and son Michael.
Kirk was born November 2, 1931 in Syracuse, NY where his parents, Milton Clifford Dickens and Jennette Martin [Holmes] Dickens, both deceased, were living during Milton’s doctoral studies and subsequent appointment at Syracuse University. The family moved to Los Angeles in 1943, where Milton later became a professor at the University of Southern California (USC).
