Although i had little contact with Tim through the years he gave me the impression he was part of that family that Ed and Stork started, people that i had the pleasure of knowing or just golfing with. One more of that family passed and it will never be the same. i hope Tim is teeing off somewhere.

Robin Wesson (September 15, 2009)
We will all miss Tim. He was a kind-hearted person who always had a smile for you. I had the pleasure of meeting Tim at a Play It Again Sports Trade Show some ten years ago. I looked forward to seeing him every six months at these shows. The shows will never be the same without him. My prayers to his family.

Duane "CD" Steiner (September 13, 2009)
I didn't have many chances to meet Tim, but when I did it was ALWAYS with a smile. What a great guy! I only saw him from a distance when he came to KC for the Worlds - I still feel bad for not catching up with him.

Tim led the way for all us "Compact Disc" players :) Way to 'bee Tim!

David Feldberg (September 09, 2009)
I miss you Tim, You were my first disc golf mentor. You had no idea how important to me you were. I think about you daily and i always will. I hope others including my self can live up to the man you were.

Mary Selinske - Tucker (September 08, 2009)
To have lost Tim at such a young age is hard to understand. It seems so unbelievable. It is going to take some time for me to wrap my head around this. He was always there for me when I needed him, and for my family as well. The memories I will treasure forever and the love in my heart. Even though a piece of my heart is gone with Tim's passing, He will live on forever because of kindness, caring, and love he gave us all. His family, Sue, Connor, Kimberly, and Kyle will be your mirrors in life and will spread all your love and joy wherever they go.
I miss you my brother and love you more than I could ever say. I will treasure everything about you.
I Love you Tim, until we meet again.
Your sister,
Mary

There is a saying about life that goes something like this, if you stick your finger in a glass of water, and remove it the water will automatically fill in the space. Our glass (disc sports and the world in general) now has a hole in it where Tim was.

Lowell Shields (September 03, 2009)
I met Tim at Cal Irvine along with Dave in 1979, the wham-o days. He made a lasting impression I never forgot. I treasure the sometimes hour or better I used to just talk with him on the phone at work sometimes. He was always quick to help and go the extra mile to be nice and good. What a great man! I wish I could have had more time to know him. I'm so sorry for Sue and the kids. But we are all extremely lucky we got to share some of his life and it was a gift I'll always treasure. I hope to see him in heaven. Lowell

Brian Otterness (September 02, 2009)
What a great guy! I will miss seeing him at the trade shows.

Michael McAnaney (September 01, 2009)
Tim was instrumental in giving advice to the San Francisco Disc Golf club and helping us get our course started. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family

Vanza McEntee (August 28, 2009)
I had the privilege of meeting Tim at the 1999 World's in Rochester, NY. He was an amazing person and I, as well as the entire disc golf community, have lost one of the true good guys!! My sympathy to his wife and children.

Dave Thomas (August 28, 2009)
I met Tim at the '99 Worlds in Rochester. As a "newbie" to Disc Golf,Tim kind of took us under his wing and made us feel like we'd know each other for years! He was so impressed with our (the Chili Disc Golf) hospitality that he gave us the 9 other baskets (we had won the Worlds Biggest DG Weekend that year) free of charge...These baskets are now in Basil Marella park!
When I went to a National Physical Education Conference in San Diego in 2003 we struck up our fruiendship once again and he treated myself and another colleague to a San Diego Padre's Baseball game!
I will most surely miss his smile and laugh! He definitely made a difference with his presence on Earth! See you on the "other side",Tim!!!!! Dave Thomas,Rochester,New York

Amy (Berard) French (August 26, 2009)
Tim was the kind of person that made you smile even if you only had a moment to speak with him. He was a dear friend and always spoke honest and open with me. We would joke around and end up laughing at each other daily. He was a breath of fresh air in a world that takes itself too seriously. We worked at the IFA house together and he was like a little brother to me. We lost touch once we both started our families but, I did think of him and Sue every Christmas. A drive past their house with my family became an annual tradition. You are deeply missed my friend.

Steve Welck (August 25, 2009)
Tim was a friend to the Maui disc golf community. He was always accomodating to any of our player when we visited So. Cal. What a great guy. We are going to miss him. To the family and friends of Tim we send our thoughts and prayers and wish you all peace knowing that Tim is in the loving hands of God.

Aloha.

Steve welck and the Maui crew.

Patti Kunkle and John David (August 24, 2009)
We were so lucky to have been in the circle of friends around Tim..he had such a special smile and easy going way about him..he was always ready with advice on operating our frisbee business..He was always generous and kind...

Russel Shelton (August 24, 2009)
I as well will always remember that smile. Tim was the only TD that would personally greet you to every tourny. When everyone else had little time to talk to competitors, Tim would always find the time. He always greeted me as a long lost friend. You never had to wait for Tim to warm up to you. Take care Tim, heaven just gained a great spokesperson.

Urs Handte (August 24, 2009)
It will allways be the jungle book song
"the bare necessities" to remind me and all of
Tim's friends in Switzerland of this great man's
humor and warmth.
Now my heart is full and goes out to Tim's
loving family.

Bobby Benner (August 23, 2009)
I was very sad to hear the news about Tim. Every time up to Innova to pick up some plastic (the best plastic ever made) Tim always welcomed me with that gentle but firm handshake and that smile that just always seemed to say "hello my good friend'. He always made me laugh and had a way about him that would make any bad day a good day if you were fortunate to run into him. I was luck enough to play some DDC with him also, and he was a great DDC player. He would catch my two finger burns, shake it off and say "is that all you got today". They broke the mold when Tim was brought into this world because I have never met another man like him and I know I never will. I wish I could have seen him one more time and thank him for everything he did for all of us and the sport. I know he is in a better place now and that we will all see him again someday. I will miss you Tim, thanks for being my friend and a mentor to me, I love you. To Tim's family my thoughts and prayers are with you all through these sad times.

Steve Lambert (August 22, 2009)
Every company has business assets. One among them is "good will". This is the asset that Tim brought to Innova, disc golf, and everyone he met. He shared his good will with me and I will never forget it. Thank you Tim.

Love,
Steve

Dee and John Houck (August 21, 2009)
It's so hard to find the right words for this man. What a wonderful world it would be if it were full of Tim Selinske's. From the old US Opens at La Mirada, through all the Super Shows in the ATL, the trips to Denny's for Grand Slams and Fanned Slams and McNally-Rand Slams, the parks shows, the Innova nights at Worlds, and all the hours and hours on the phone over the years, it was always a joy to be connected to Tim. We were so glad that he came to our wedding, and we were grateful for every chance we got to spend time with him. Our hearts go out to Sue, the kids, and all Tim's family and friends.

Dennis Bohanan (August 21, 2009)
I write this with a sad heart.
Tim ways a man of his word, he was a happy man, a loving man and in my disc golf heart he will always be The Man!

Encouragement, This was Tim.
Positive, This was Tim.
Glad to have known him.
Anyone that met him, would feel a better person for having done so. It was nice to know someone that not only could say and back up what he was going to do at the same time. A real man of character!

Condolences to his immediate and extended family. We all miss him.

Michael Brignoni (August 20, 2009)
I love you, Tim! Thanks for being such a great friend!

Ode to Tim- Michael Brignoni (August 20, 2009)
What can be said at a time such as this
When we seem to lose someone
That forever we'll miss?

Without a great loss,
We'd not know our great gain.
If we hadn't felt so happy,
We'd not know such great pain.

In this crazy world,
There is dark and there's light.
But when you lose a loved one,
It just doesn't seem right.

It doesn't bear fruit
To debate the reality.
Of course, it is tragic!
Untimely! Near brutality!

To feel sad, to feel lost,
It's all normal and healthy.
But I've learned there's a chance
To truly get wealthy.

Just remember the life
Of a great soul like this.
His good deeds are many,
And not one was amiss.

Think of what he did
For our flying disc community.
To events he brought warmth,
Laughter and unity.

A tourney ran by Tim
Was always worthwhile.
His genuine warm presence,
His chuckle, his smile!

How many people have you known
Such as that,
That could pump up your feelings,
When they're feeling quite flat?!

This man was a treasure,
And he's ours for all time.
His imprint indelible,
In our hearts, in our minds.

Now with these memories,
Kindly left by our brother,
You invest them like money
When we love one another.

If you bring Tim's kindness
And good nature to bear,
You can feel he's still with you!
He's not gone anywhere!

Stan McDaniel (August 20, 2009)
Dear Tim,
My prayers are with your family now. I can only imagine the depth of their loss as I read the tributes to you in this guest book. I treasure my memories of your sense of humor and your heartwarming smile.
I grieve for your family and for your friends who will miss you.

Sincerely, your friend, Stan

Rodica Vintila (August 20, 2009)
I knew Tim throgh a business relationship. To be more exact,he was one of the first clients I met face to face. And wahat a blessing that was!I was'tsure I could be a sales person, but talking to him seemed to be so easy, unpretentious and natural that it made me think I could do it!I've known him for over fourteen years and I didn' see him much in the last few years as he got more and more envolved with promoting Disc Golf. Everytime I stopped by Innova I hoped I'd get to see him and get a genuine smile,a bear hug and talk to him about his children. He loved them so!I didn't know about his ilness but when I last saw him months ago his smile looked different!I know all who knew him will feel poorer for loosing him! Rest in peace ,Tim! Your warmth and kindness will always be with all that were privileged to know you!

Tom Monroe (August 19, 2009)
I had know Tim since the Collectors Corner of the IFA magazine. I knew him as the super friendly guy everyone has described here. What I didn't know was that he was an intense DDC player. When I saw him with that knee brace on at Lacy Park for the first time across the court from us, I knew that we were in trouble. I was right.
Another fond and funny memory was when the Innova boys played at an NAS tourney in Huntsville and Tim walked off with the scorecard. The next morning, Dave could not find them on the leaderboard. I explained the rule and asked them what had happened to their card overnight? They all turned to Ske and he had a look on his face I'll never forget, as he pulled the card out of his golf bag. Priceless.
what a great guy!

Rick LeBeau (August 19, 2009)
When I add up all the time I spent at Ske's house over the years, I realize (again) the depth of their generosity. They not only put me up for more than a week at a time, they gave me my own bed, space in their refrigerator (even though they had a full house), and most of all, their personal warmth and welcoming attitude.
Everyone who knew Tim saw what a funny and gregarious guy he was, but he was much more than that. He was a great family man, starting with the one he was born into, and carrying on to the one he had with his soulmate, Sue.

Bruce & Jennifer Knisley (August 19, 2009)
We will truly miss you. Thank you for all you have done for the disc golf community. You were a very special friend.

Arthur Haverkamp (August 19, 2009)
Almost a week has past and there is still this sad feeling when I think about Tim. The kindest guy in discgolf is gone....?
Luckily I can remember very clearly how he is, so he will live on like that for me.
He always made me laugh.....;-)

Unreal that I am writing here....still

Michelle Wade (August 19, 2009)
My heart is very saddened today as I learned of Tim's passing. I will definitely be at his funeral this weekend to say good-bye to him. My condolences go out to his family, both blood and disc golf! Tim did always have a smile on his face and a big hug to give out to everyone. So Cal Disc Golf will never be the same.

Rest in peace, dear Tim. And say hi to Steady Ed for us all! I'm sure you guys are already in mid-round of Heaven's World Championships!

God Bless,
Michelle

Todd Banks (August 19, 2009)
Tim will be missed by all who ever met him. He always had a word of encouragement and a big smile. We are better people for having known him.

Dean Tannock (August 19, 2009)
I am truly honored to have known such a great person. Tim always had the best attitude and always greeted you with a warm smile.

I will always remember Tim as a warm caring man who loved the game and all who played it.

My friend you will be sorely missed. Thanks for your thoughts and wisdom in all aspects of life that you shared with me. God bless Sue and the kids and 'Mom'. You were definitely one of the FEW good ones.

Brian Bowland(for everyone at Great Western Foils) (August 19, 2009)
We are truly sorry for losing such a great man. Men like Tim are hard to find. He had such vibrance and a never ending desire to serve people. We really need people like this in the world. Thank you, Tim. I am sorry i didnt get to tell you one last time. We will be praying for your family.

Jay Burghardt (August 19, 2009)
I first met Tim about 6 years ago while playing the Golden State Classic. The next year, my father, who was 73, came out to see me play, and walked the course the best he could. After my round, I introduced him to Tim, and Tim spent a good 15 minutes talking with my father (and as busy as Tim was in running the tourney, 15 uninterupted minutes was a long time), about disc golf, the sport, and yes, a bit about me as one of the competitors. When we got home that night, my father made special mention as to what a nice man at the course, that was that my father was talking to.
Every year I head to california, to A. see my father, B. play La Mirada, and C., to say hello to Tim.

He will be missed by this discgolfer from Colorado.

David Greenwell (August 19, 2009)
I would like to send my condolences to all of Tim's families. What a pleasure it was to know Tim! He was one of the best human beings I have ever known. You did not even have to know him to like him. If you were one of the lucky ones who knew him, you had to love him!
The hugs and smiles were his trademarks, and will be sorely missed by all of us. I am so happy that I got to see Tim at Kansas City. Being the only other person to play in every world championships, I plan on having Tim's name added to my shirt for future worlds. His memory will never die! Thanks Tim, for being there for all of
us!

Joe Weinshel (August 19, 2009)
Your passion and gusto for life and the sport you loved so dearly is an inspiration to all of us You are truly one of the good guys. God's blessings on you, my friend.

Derek Robins (August 19, 2009)
My memories of Ske are in the same vein as everyone else, he was such a fun guy to be with and so inclusive. My earliest recollection is of hanging out with the Lacy Park/Foothill guts players, I think at Al Bonopane's house in maybe 1979. I was in awe of being in the company of great players, and Ske made me feel like I was part of the gang. From that day I counted him as a friend who I would always want to catch up with. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Rev. Matthew (August 19, 2009)
Never knew him personaly, but did know of him.
Some 18 years ago my first throw on a Disc Golf Course was with a Innova disc, and it gave me my first ace to boot, on that same throw. Been hooked since, all because of that one disc.
You will be missed, by all of use that love the sport.
Rest in peace Tim, and see you next time i'm out on the course, for that round will be played in your memory.
And make sure to give Steady Ed a run for it on the Ultimate Course in the Sky.

Jon Lyksett (August 19, 2009)
In March, Tim and I were to travel to San Jose together to represent EDGE at a conference. He was feeling under the weather, so I went alone. He was in the hospital and not aware of what battle lay ahead for him. At the end of the week, I got back and visited him and the first thing he did was apologize for not making the trip. That was Tim, always concerned for the other guy.

Throughout his illness, we talked frequently. I gave him encouragement and told him that we still had lots of work to do. Just last week, I reminded him of our schedule and told him to get well, so we could enjoy our time together (and eat some sushi).

I was a latecomer to the disc sports world, but Tim brought me into the fold and made me feel like one of the gang. He was one of the best friends I've ever had. I know that he's on the next part of his journey through the worlds of God and that he's smiling down on us all. I will truly miss him, but know that one day soon enough we will meet again.

A true gem of a man. A true friend. He gave of himself and of his family to me and to many others. I loved him as a brother, and I love his family.

Your beautiful, radiant soul is flying, my friend. Fly straight and long.

Russell Schwarz (August 18, 2009)
I never had a real brother. Tim was mine. I "met" him on the phone at the old IFA and we were instant friends. I think of all the times we laughed together and realize it was all the times. He had a heart as big as the world. I loved him.
I will always miss him.

Tom Clickner (August 18, 2009)
I knew Tim as one of the most sincerely positive and caring people I’ve ever met, inside or outside of the disc community. Tim, though we didn’t see each other often, I really miss you, man! That having been said, I trust that wherever you are now, you are generating more good times for all!

Nick Duran (JUNIOR INNOVA TEAM MEMBER) (August 18, 2009)
I'm sorry for losing your friend. I can't imagine to lose one of my friends. I never did know Tim but I saw him at KC at the players meeting. I heard alot of good things about him and what he did for disc golf. I know he had alot of people who love him and will miss him. Now I will never be able to meet him. I'm sorry for that to. I'm going outside and practice and think about him and I'll think about all my friends and about my family and all the people I love. I'm sorry. Nick

Donny Olow (August 18, 2009)
My condolences to the Selinski family.
He did so much for us Disc Golf players.
He was always very Cool to me and was a Inspiration to all of us. So many of us loved Tim for who he was and for what he offered us at events. I thank him always !!!

Alisa Duvall (August 18, 2009)
We are so deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved friend, Tim. Tim was one of the most loving guys I have ever had the pleasure to meet. We met over 23 years ago when Harold and I began cross country dating. Tim knew I was a fish out of water and immediately took me under his wings and made me feel perfectly welcomed and at home. He had the most effervescent personality His hearty laugh and smile were contagious.
Tim loved his family so. My prayers are with Sue and his 3 beautiful children, as well as his mother and siblings.
Sadly some people come into our lives for just a short time but they leave their footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same.
The world is a little darker now without Tim. Tim, I miss you and everything you were to me and my family.
"I thank God for every remembrance of you". Philippians 1:3
I love you Tim and will never forget you. You have made me a better person just by knowing you.
Love,
Alisa

Andrew Rich (August 18, 2009)
Tim will always be remembered as a true friend of Disc Golfers the world over. His great outlook on life was contagious. I will always cherish the rounds of golf we played together and those trips to the factory where he made everyone feel so at home. Whether you throw Innova or prefer Discraft you have to appreciate the steps he took to advance Disc Golf technology into the new millenium. We will do our best to carry on his legacy.

Nate Doss (August 18, 2009)
Truly one of the most amazing people on Earth. He will be missed by many!! Just wish I could get one more bear hug!!

I have know Tim for a long time, and in good times, and bad, he always had that infectious smile and laugh! Tim will be truly missed by everyone and by me big time. We are all blessed for having crossed paths with Tim. His smile was always radiant. You instantly loved him upon meeting. Our memories will hold us together until we all meet again...

Lavone Wolfe (August 18, 2009)
I was so happy when I saw Tim and his family at the Worlds. Through the years everytime I ever thought about or talked about Tim I got an image in my mind of his smiling face. I will miss my friend. His love and his life has touched all of us in a great way.

Kathy Hardyman (August 18, 2009)
I never saw Tim without seeing a smile too. He always had a happy hello and hug when he saw you, even the first time I met him. It was a blessing to see that smile one more time and get one last hug this year at Worlds. Tim, you were an awesome man and will be missed.

Joel Kelly (August 18, 2009)
Albeit, I was only able to talk with Tim a few times...I always left with a smile and some great encouragement. Mt deepest sympathies go out to the Selinske Family, The Innova Family and all who will miss his great presence. God Bless!

Terry Miller (August 18, 2009)
I am grateful that I got to see Tim's big, smiling face at the World Championships a few weeks ago in Kansas City. What a surprising treat that was.

We embraced in big bear hugs at the flymart and that will be just one of the lasting memories I have of such the kind-hearted man. Keep those discs soaring from above buddy!

David Hesselberth (August 18, 2009)
I will always remember the round of “Raz” doubles that Carlton and I played against Tim and Dave Dunipace at the Iowa Worlds many years ago. Picture Tim (along with the rest of us) doing everything possible to disrupt the concentration of the other team's throwers. Telling bad jokes, clowning behind the pole hole, calling out insults, even whispering in your ear. That was perhaps the most fun I’ve ever had playing golf.

Erin Hart (August 18, 2009)
Thank you Tim for the years of joy, laughter, and wonderful memories. I feel richer for having had you in my life. Thoughts and prayers to go out to the Selinkse family. Peace to you Tim.

Carlton Howard (August 18, 2009)
Tim was undoubtedly one of the nicest people I have ever met. His ability to smile, regardless of the context of the conversation, is something I have tried to copy for years...I still fall miserably short of Tim's example, despite 20-some years of trying. It is not easy, but it was effortless to Tim. What an example!!!

Tim's enthusiasm for life and others was very special. He was a man that could recharge everyone's batteries when they were feeling low. He always seemed to think about others before himself. That is a magical trait, of a magical man.

One of my favorite memories was Tim doing his Elvis impersonation.

I can still hear his voice echoing "Thank you, thank you. Thank you very much!".

It is we who give thanks now, THANKS for our being allowed to know such a wonderful guy.

I don't often cry and particularly so at work, but last week I let it all come out..after that 15 minutes I could STILL see Tim smiling. Though I am very sad, I am smiling now and it's all because of our great friend Tim.

Jack Roddick (August 18, 2009)
I'm Stork's dad and have seen Tim off and on from his early Wham-o days and on to many Frisbee events. He'll be missed as probably the most universally loved person in the Frisbee family.
Papajack Roddick

Joe Selinske (August 17, 2009)
One of my truly best friends has ventured on to the next journey. He will be missed but also remembered for all of the rest of our lives.
